In fact, leading experts suggest lack of supervision can threaten the sustainability of your coaching pool.  And we know internal coaches face specific challenges that deserve specialised support and attention. The benefits of supervision for your internal coaches

Research (1) shows coaches working in organisations can really benefit from having an external supervisor. It found:

* They can be more open with someone outside the organisation
* Coaches noticed an immediate ripple effect from their supervision sessions to the organisation
* They developed their capacity to look at the bigger system – recognising some of unseen internal and external dynamics that affect their coaching practice
* Gained a better understanding of the influence of culture and power dynamics
* Felt they were better able to navigate multiple roles, hats, commitments, and expectations

Our approach supports both your coaches and your wider organisation

Supervision sessions are designed to address the particular challenges for internal coaches:

* Conflict between their own role and their role as coach
* Keeping focused on work objectives and within the boundaries of their capability
* Building experience, confidence and skills with fewer flying hours than full-time coaches
* Internal system dynamics
* Handling difficult emotional challenges faced by their coachees in the same organisation as themselves
* Reconnecting coaches with the power of reflective conversations
* Preventing isolation: confidentiality can make coaching lonely and burdening.
* Supervision helps coaches feel supported, and protects your organisation against unethical or unprofessional practice

As part of a group with Diana and Liz, your coaches will be supported to:

* Learn from each other
* Work sensitively with organisational themes
* Connect across departments

As external supervisors we can bring a fresh, non-biased perspective to support your coaches’ learning.
Your organisation gets a stronger, more confident coaching pool.   No fuss — we provide you with a cost-effective solution designed to work for your organisation’s needs.

“I have learnt so much from Liz’s compassionate and empowering approach to our supervision sessions. Liz creates a supportive environment, which allows me to offload, debrief and talk through any issues that come up in my coaching practice. Liz listens deeply and allows space for exploration, she gently challenges my assumptions and self-limiting beliefs, and helps me to learn from my experiences. I really value Liz’s insight, and have developed as a coach under her supervision”.
